The biggest problem with that is how competitive women’s clothing is. As a dropshipper, this can make it extremely difficult to break into the market. The good news is that there are a ton of niches and sub-niches within women’s clothing you can target to create your own blue ocean.

The list goes on and on… Even the examples above are extremely broad niches and you can niche right down until you find a very specific type of clothing to be perceived as an expert in.
For example, women’s dresses is an extremely broad clothing niche. There are endless types of niches for different occasions, cultures, climates, body shapes, materials and interests. For example, you could focus on Indian party wear dresses.
Focusing on a specific sub-section of women’s clothing will establish you as an authority and an expert within the niche. This builds trust and increases your clothing store’s perceived value, enabling you to charge higher prices.
Wholesale or Dropshipping Women’s Clothing?
You may have noticed I included below whether the clothing supplier offers wholesale as well as dropshipping services. This may not be important initially, however, if you are profitably able to dropship specific items of women’s clothing, it may be worth ordering some items in bulk at wholesale prices.
The reason profit margins with dropshipping are relatively small is due to the fact that a supplier picks, packs and ships individual products on your behalf. This is not a great use of a supplier’s time and you have to pay extra for this service.
With wholesale, you can purchase your biggest selling items of clothing in bulk and either ship the items yourself or find a third party who may be able to ship them at a lower cost.
