Just to be as upfront as possible, none of these dropshipping suppliers are necessary. You can contact suppliers in your country and work with them if that is your preference.
Working with a platform such as Spocket, Salehoo, CJ Dropshipping or Zendrop is like having an additional middleman. They will charge a monthly fee to use their service and if you’re on a tight budget it may be an unnecessary cost.
The main advanatges of using one of these platforms is they reduce much of the risk, they often provide faster shipping times than AliExpress and they simplify the whole process. Dropshipping from AliExpress suppliers and even domestic suppliers can get messy and it’s very common to get scammed.
It’s much easier to dropship all your products from the one platform and only have to deal with them if you have any problems. They often have many features when it comes to branding your products and packaging.
I would only recommend these dropshipping suppliers as a beginner and I would only recommend them in the short term. They should be looked at as a stepping stone in your business. You can then look at purchasing in bulk, working with a dropshipping agent or working with reputable domestic suppliers.
If you decide to use one of the suppliers below, these are my picks.
Spocket works with many suppliers based in the US and Europe. If you plan to dropship to these countries, Spocket may be worth considering. They also have AliScraper which is similar to Oberlo meaning you can easily fill your store with AliExpress products as well as US and EU products.
Salehoo is the only current supplier to have a dropship tool and a supplier directory. Their directory is an option if you are purely looking for suppliers to connect with as they have over 8,000 suppliers worldwide. Their dropship option is exclusively AliExpress products with most of their product prices similar to AliExpress.
CJ Dropshipping looks similar to AliExpress but is a much better alternative to AliExpress. CJ is a team of agents who work directly with suppliers in China. The prices are similar to AliExpress but it’s far more reliable. If they don’t stock a product you want to sell you can request it and they can usually source it for you.
Dropshipping Suppliers to Avoid
I would not completely avoid AliExpress but I would be very cautious. The suppliers are often unreliable, the shipping times can be inaccurate and the quality is hit and miss.
If you want to use AliExpress, only work with experienced sellers with a good rating. AliExpress is best used to test products before moving to an alternative and should never be used to scale your business.
I have checked out Sunrise Wholesale and I personally would not use them. I have heard several people talk about their bad experiences with them. If you have had a good experience I would love to hear about it.
